ARMY STANDS BY OFFICIAL CLP PRODUCT
USING THE RIGHT LUBE - ARMY TIMES
MG NADEAU WROTE "THANK YOU FOR YOUR LETTER DATED OCTOBER 18, 2005"
MG Nadeau stands by official CLP products and he went on to say
“Even if the manual says you should clean your weapon twice a day,
if you’ve got time, clean it four times a day, if you’ve got more time,
clean it eight times a day because the one time you didn’t clean it may be the time it jams”

BRAD GIORDANI'S LETTER TO MG ROGER A. NADEAU, COMMANDER RDECOM | PDF
November 19, 2006
Soldiers might be tempted to use other products, but it’s important stick with the approved products,
Nadeau said, acknowledging that he’s heard soldiers are using other products but he doesn’t know which ones or to what extent.

MILITEC, INC HAS ALWAYS AGREED THAT MILITEC-1 DOES NOT MEET
THE SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AS A WEAPONS LUBRICANT FOR CLP

Subject: The smoking gun that can't be ignored by MG Nadeau
This inaccurate and bogus technical data was approved by the Chief Chemist at DSCR and forwarded to ARDEC/RDECOM for action as a complete technical data package (TDP) and/or a complete source approval package (SAP) without regard for the source selection process guidelines as per the solicitations that spells out the requirements for alternatives or substitute products. HOW MUCH TO LUBRICATE A WEAPON IN A DESERT ENVIRONMENT
IS A TOPIC OF CONVERSATION IN "STARS AND STRIPES" NEWSPAPER
"CAMP ANACONDA, Iraq — When it comes to lubing weapons, more is better, say the guys who work in the small-arms repair shop at Camp Anaconda, where thousands of jammed and malfunctioning weapons get fixed."
The above and below reports are both Army positions that conflict one another
(1) Using a dry lube in a desert environment with little to no oil on the weapon versus
(2) applying a wet lubricant in generous amounts to the weapons surfaces 4-8 times a day
(which proves CLP does not work) which leads us to this major disagreement between RDECOM and Militec, Inc.
SOLDIER WEAPONS ASSESSMENT TEAM REPORT AND DRAFTS 6-03
"When soldiers conducted daily operator
level maintenance and applied a light coat of lubricant (regardless of type) to the
weapon, the weapon functioned reliably. The best lubricant of all was determined to be
soldier elbow grease."
